Packaging labelling

In compliance with Legislative Decree No. 116 of 3 September 2020 and Law No. 15/2022 (Official Gazette No. 49 of 28/2/2022) converting Legislative Decree No. 228/2021 (see Milleproroghe Decree ), starting from 1 January 2023, it is expected that all packaging materials used will be appropriately identified and labeled so that, through the methods established by the applicable UNI technical standards and in compliance with the decisions adopted by the European Union Commission, facilitates the collection, reuse, recovery and recycling of packaging and provides correct information to consumers on the final destinations of the same.

 For the purposes of identifying and classifying the packaging, producers must also indicate the nature of the packaging materials used, on the basis of Commission Decision 97/129/EC in order to encourage the collection of packaging placed on the market and disseminate information on disposal once their function has been exhausted and they have become waste.
